Summer 2001 Newsletter
Hello!
My name is Elaine Hilliker. I have volunteered to be the Editor of our HNG
Newsletter. My family and I live in Jonesville and I am a frequent customer in our store.
I have served on the Steering Committee in the past and am very interested in helping people become knowledgeable about their health and what they can do to improve it. I hope to bring you interesting topics to think about and great recipes to try. This month's recipe for fresh strawberry pie is delightful. I hope you enjoy it.
The next newsletter will come in early September. Assisting me are Paula Karlovich's
computer skills and Jackie Beland handling the mailing process. If you have newsletter contributions, my phone number is 849-2343. I hope everyone is off to a relaxing, happy and healthful summer! We are hoping to

Crop Walk
We would like to thank the following individuals for participating in the
annual Crop Walk on May 6th: Suzanne Dumaw, Gene Wilson, Sharon Wilson, Stephanie Morgan, and Melissa Morgan. Together they raised $309.00, which will go to help feed hungry people in our county. Great Job HNG Members!
Relay for Life
We would like to thank the following individuals for their help passing out Grabber Bars to the walkers: Carolyn Cox, Suzanne Dumaw, Leah Cox, Walt Bisel, Pauline Salyer, and Lorraine Wireman.
Proposed Membership Cost Change
The Board of Directors is considering changing the cost of membership for the store from $10.00 lifetime to $10.00 annually.
We would appreciate input at the October general membership meeting and will plan on voting on it there.
July Meeting
The July Board meeting date is July 16, 2001.
Fourth of July parade
HNG entered a float in the Fourth of July parade. Hope you saw us!
